We're looking for an AI Engineer who can turn existing models into dependable product features and agents. You will connect models to real business data and tools, build the controls around them, test failure cases, and help ship the full system to production. This is applied engineering, not model research.
· Build AI agents and model-backed features inside custom software
· Connect models to business data, APIs, and the tools clients already use
· Add evaluations, permissions, human review, logging, and fallback paths
· Review working software with clients every week and act on the feedback
· Deploy, monitor, document, and hand off systems in client-owned accounts
· Explain where AI fits, where fixed rules work better, and where to skip it
· Production experience with model APIs and tool-calling systems
· Strong TypeScript, Python, or comparable software engineering skills
· Experience with structured outputs, evaluations, retrieval, and integrations
· Good judgment around privacy, permissions, reliability, and human review
· Ability to turn a business need into a clear, testable system
· Direct written and verbal communication
